The Games Expo 2024 is set to be our best yet. 

As we celebrate 10 years of Falmouth's Games Academy, our games students will be taking over our performing arts venue with The Games Expo 2024.  

Hosted at AMATA, the Games Expo will feature industry speakers, talks and – most importantly – real, playable games made by our incredible Games Academy students.  

The Games Expo 2024 will include:  

  • Talks, Interviews and panels talking about a wide variety of subjects from the dev process, to running your own indie game company 
  • A showcase of student games to play and experience 
  • Live demos and interactive experiences

The Private View of our Games Academy Expo sets the stage for a thrilling launch event, offering a special first glimpse into the innovative games and immersive experiences made by our students.

This occasion encourages our students to invite their friends and family, so they can share all of their hard work! Refreshments will be available in the AMATA Café.

The Industry Day at our Games Academy Expo welcomes esteemed guests from prominent game studios to engage with our students' projects, providing invaluable feedback and critiques.

Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to participate in portfolio reviews, panel discussions, and networking sessions.

This day is dedicated solely to students, alongside industry professionals and esteemed alumni, fostering a collaborative environment aimed at enhancing skills and forging meaningful connections within the gaming industry.

Hosted at AMATA, the Games Academy Expo will feature student games, industry booths, and interactive experiences from our VR and robotics courses, as well as cross-university collaborative performances using motion capture technology.

Explore a wide array of activities:

  • Collect a passport and embark on a quest to complete the passport challenge for a chance to win a prize.
  • Dive into the digital art gallery and explore our physical art booth.
  • Experience our new Game Design and Writing booth, where captivating game lore and projects are showcased for your exploration.
  • And lots more!
