Your Open Day Experience

Our on-campus Open Days are designed to give you all the information you need about life at Falmouth.
Book your spot on one of our upcoming Open Days and follow the steps below to get the most out of your day.
Attending an on-campus Open Day is the best way to get a real taste of student life at Falmouth, explore our facilities, meet our staff and current students and find all the answers to your questions.
1. Book your Open Day
Our upcoming Open Days will be held on the following dates, click on the links to find our more and book your place.
Looking for an alternative? We offer bespoke, one-to-one, in-person tours of our Falmouth Campus and Penryn Campus. These are a great alternative option if you’re unable to visit us at one of our Open Days. Spaces are limited, so make sure you book your spot below.
2. Plan your Open Day
Below, you'll find a breakdown of the array of sessions and activities available during our Open Days.
One very important thing to note is that we have two campuses – one in Penryn and one in Falmouth. Depending on the courses you wish to explore during the Open Day, you'll need to make sure you're at the right campus.
At Penryn Campus, you'll find courses within the Academy of Music & Theatre Arts, School of Film & Television, Cornwall Business School, Fashion & Textiles Institute, Games Academy and Institute of Photography.
At Falmouth Campus, you'll find courses within the School of Architecture, Design & Interiors, School of Communication and Falmouth School of Art.
To travel between our campuses, please ask our staff for directions, to arrange a taxi or for information on buses.

Our information points are open on both campuses from 9-4pm, where our staff and Student Ambassadors can give you all the details and directions you may need. Keep an eye out for red gazebos, information desks in the Study Hubs and Student Ambassadors dressed in yellow; we’re here to help you get the most out of your visit.
We’re happy to help visitors with accessibility needs. Just let us know at an information point, so we can guide you to more accessible campus routes or offer further support.
You'll have the opportunity to attend as many of our 30-minute talks as you'd like. These sessions include a brief introduction to Falmouth University in addition to talks on:
- Student accommodation
- Applying to Falmouth
- Student funding
- Student life
- Employability and study abroad
- Student mentors
- Wellbeing and accessibility
- Integrated Foundation Year
You do not need to book onto these talks. A detailed overview of the talks available including timings and location can be found in the Open Day Guide, further down this page.
Please book your subject sessions before your Open Day. Our course teams aim to provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the subject you're interested in studying. This is a great opportunity to chat with the lecturers that run the course and likeminded prospective students also looking to study with us.
Some subject sessions occur more than once during the Open Day, which gives you the chance to attend multiple subject sessions if you're interested in studying more than one course.
Please consult the Open Day Guide, which will also be available on the day, for more information on subject session locations.
If the subject session you wish to join is fully booked, get in touch with our Future Studies Team who will be able to help you get the information you require:
Run from 9:00 - 3:30 by our amazing team of Student Ambassadors, our campus tours offer you a chance to explore all the great facilities found within our campuses.
To join a tour, head to the Study Hub.
Our student village at Penryn Campus is available to see from 9:00 - 3:30.
There's no need to book, just head for Glasney Lodge and our ambassadors will direct you. For Falmouth, grab a map at the Student Hub and visit our accommodation locations in town (no internal viewings available).
Falmouth's mentoring scheme matches second-year students with new first years, to help you settle in and to answer any questions you might have.
During the Open Day, make sure to stop by the Wellbing Hub to find out how our mentors can support you during your studies here.
Escape from the crowds in our libraries. If you’d like time out in our Sensory & Retreat rooms, or our chaplaincies, just ask our Open Days team.
We have included a printable planner on the final page of our Open Day Guide, to help you organise your day and to make sure you can attend all the talks and sessions on your to do list.
