Graduation Success Stories: Where our 2024 graduates are now
04 July 2025

For more than a century Falmouth has shaped generations of artists, designers, makers and entrepreneurs. Graduation is a highlight of the university calendar; a chance to reflect on our students’ transformative experiences as part of our creative community.
In celebration of the upcoming graduation ceremonies this month, we take a look at where some of last year’s graduates are now and how their time at Falmouth empowered them to forge inspiring paths.
Annabelle Johnson, Junior Designer
Annabelle Johnson has gone from studying Graphic Design BA to contributing to the design of products we see on supermarket shelves every day – all in the space of a year. With clients including McVitie’s Penguin, Inch’s Cider, Robinsons and Virgin Atlantic, Bloom London is a design agency that brings a fresh and creative perspective to the look of established, well-known brands. After completing an internship with the agency soon after finishing her third year, Annabelle is now working there as a Junior Designer.
Connor Leggett, Junior Creative
Hot off the heels of scooping several awards in 2024’s D&AD New Blood Awards talent showcase, Creative Advertising BA graduate Connor Leggett secured a placement at independent advertising giants Wieden+Kennedy London, an agency known for their bold and culture-shifting work. Connor has since been appointed Junior Creative and will be working with an exciting range of global clients.
Florence Mitchell, Junior Lighting Designer
Sustainable Product Design BA graduate Florence Mitchell ended her final year on a high, developing a sustainable alternative to existing metal IV poles. Named ‘Olly the Octopus’, her creation of a cheery blue octopus with sturdy tentacles to hold IV drip bags made waves at Royal Cornwall Hospital, bringing comfort to young patients on the children’s ward while fulfilling an important medical function. Florence has since joined the team at Shoplight, a leading sustainable lighting design company.
Lucy Martin, Print Room Assistant
Textile Design BA graduate Lucy Martin’s career has got off to an exciting start. After winning the Habitat Future Design award at New Designers in 2024, she worked as an assistant designer at Habitat, learning the ropes within the print, pattern and trend team and creating designs for future products. She has since secured a role as Print Room Assistant at luxury fabric and wallpaper studio, Rapture & Wright.
Niamh Shergold, Photographer
Less than a year after graduating, 2024 Photography BA graduate Niamh Shergold was named one of this year’s winners of the prestigious Portrait of Britain Award. Her winning image, ‘Maria & Connie’, was part of her Final Major Project at Falmouth, which explored human connection through intimate and authentic portraiture. This accolade, along with several other awards picked up last year, has bolstered Niamh, who is now forging a successful freelance photography career – with her images already featuring in The Guardian.
Pablo Woolls-Blanco, Sports Journalist
Journalism & Creative Writing BA graduate Pablo Woolls-Blanco has joined the likes of Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona and Gary Lineker after being snapped up by Barcelona FC as an English-language reporter. Cutting his teeth at Cornish football team Mousehole AFC during his time at Falmouth, Pablo is now in his “dream job” working as a journalist, presenter and commentator for Barca One, FC Barcelona's audio-visual platform, producing live match commentary on La Liga, Champions League, Primera RFEF and UEFA Youth League games.
Rosie Behri, Creative
Multidisciplinary creative and Visual Communication BA (Online) graduate Rosie Behri thrives on collaboration. Since graduating in 2024, Rosie has landed the role of Creative at The Ready House, a leading agency with clients including Beyond Retro and Soho House. Rosie has also co-founded Effete, a multidisciplinary studio dedicated to shaping visual narratives that centre those who identify as women.
Sam Claydon, Indie Game Developer
Since starting his undergraduate degree at Falmouth in 2019 through to completing Indie Game Development MA (Online) last year, Sam Claydon has been on a mission to bring his ideas to life. Now working as an independent game developer, and with several awards to his name including a Rookie Award, he is currently creating The Calcium Crusader 64, a retro-inspired adventure game via his eponymous Sam Claydon Games Ltd studio.
Spencer Hogg, Artist
Spencer Hogg’s creative journey is a fascinating one. Having started his career as a railway designer and engineer, he has pivoted into the arts world and is now a practising artist and 2024 Fine Art MA (Online) graduate. Since leaving our global online community, Spencer’s practice has soared; most recently showing a sound installation in the Abu Dhabi Public Art Biennial 24/25 as a culmination of his time as a collaborative member of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Visiting Artist Programme.
Winston Tjia, Assistant Editor
