Games Expo 2024
In May, we celebrated 10 years of Falmouth's Games Academy at the Games Expo 2024.
Hosted on campus, our Games Academy students were given the opportunity to take over our performing arts venue and showcase their creativity to the public. The Games Expo featured industry speakers, talks, interviews, panels and - most importantly - real, playable games made by our incredible students.
We're an Educational Affiliate of the British Computer Society
The Games Academy is an affiliate of the British Computer Society (BCS), the Chartered Institute for IT. This means our computing qualifications are continually reviewed and updated to meet the needs and demands of the future workforce.
Additionally, qualifications we offer that are accredited by the BCS are aligned with the SFIA global IT skills framework, allowing you to progress and translate your competencies to companies operating all over the world.
Explore our facilities
Our students prepare for the industry in one of the largest dedicated game development studio spaces of any UK university. The Games Academy offers access to spacious, team-focused, professional-standard studios; as well as a dedicated craft room, breakout spaces, and a range of industry-standard software, management tools and game engines.

"As a student at Falmouth University I consider it a key part of the journey that got me to where I am now, and although this was before digital studies were taught there, I have been very impressed with the facilities, staff and students I have met when returning in more recent times. I’m really quite jealous of what is happening there now!"
