Studying at Falmouth in Cornwall

Our Falmouth Campus is nestled among subtropical gardens and offers an array of industry-standard facilities aimed at encouraging creative practice. Our Penryn Campus hosts the majority of our academic departments and features a number of recreational areas like the Sports Centre, The Stannary and our Sustainability Cafe.

The Student Union is made up of a vast number of groups including sea swimming, surfing, inland expeditions and much more. Living in Falmouth and Penryn, there will also be a range of historical attractions, shops, cafes and pubs on your doorstep.

During your time studying at Falmouth, you'll be surrounded by natural beauty and there's a whole county to explore.

Cornwall's public transport system can be relied on for day trips and adventures. First (Kernow) operates dedicated University buses every ten minutes between the Falmouth and Penryn campuses and goes much further afield too. There is also a train station in both Falmouth and Penryn, with a regular service running between the two towns and Truro. Visit the GWR website for the latest information on timetables and ticket prices.

An inspiring environment

Cornwall has been inspiring creatives, innovators and entrepreneurs for centuries.  Today, our on-campus students enjoy the county's rare balance of laid-back surf-side lifestyle and a maverick spirit that's pushing for a better, bolder, more connected future.

We're courageous

We're supporting our students to become courageous and conscientious creatives.

We're re-thinking the shape of higher education so our students are ready to make a real difference when they graduate.

You'll be challenged to experiment and take risks, with the support of our amazing academic and technical staff. Because nothing new has ever been created by playing it safe.

Our lecturers teach by example. Whether through their practice or inspirational research projects, they're paving the way for innovation and change across a range of sectors.

They'll support you to question the fundamentals of your field, too. Across our courses, you'll consider the social, environmental and cultural impacts and of your practice.

We're proud to see our graduates taking this courageous attitude into industry and using their creativity for good.
