Finding her voice as a storyteller through female friendship | Degree Show Stories

BA(Hons) Television & Film Production third-year student Millie Clamp wrote and directed "All That Glitters", a story about female friendship, wanting to show how strong bonds between women can be a refuge and a lifeline.
Millie says directing the film is something she is deeply proud to have achieved alongside everyone involved, and that finding her voice as a storyteller at Falmouth has helped her step into who she is, building a confidence and sense of self she plans to carry forward alongside the industry standard skills and collaborative experience she has gained here.
"My name is Millie Clamp. I'm on the TV and Film Production course at Falmouth University.
"'All That Glitters' is a story primarily about female friendship. I wrote this film to show how strong female friendships can really be a refuge and a lifeline for some people.
"I have loved directing. I think it's something that I'm really proud of to have achieved with everyone involved.
"Falmouth has a huge creative collaboration here. You're constantly surrounded by other filmmakers, artists, musicians. It feels like a real industry standard here and industry experience, and I think that everything you learn here, you take forward to real industry and you're well-equipped.
"Since finding my voice as a storyteller, I've really stepped into who I am and I've gained that confidence, and I've created that sense of self here, and I think that's something I'm definitely going to take forward with me."
