Institute of Photography

Working in some of the best university facilities in Europe, you'll develop your photography practice and portfolio by taking on live industry projects and occasional paid briefs via our in-house agency. You'll also go on internships and study visits to places like London, the Galapagos Islands, New York and the Red Sea.

We’ll help you find your own creative voice, while also teaching you how to thrive in a fast-changing industry.

Our relationships with Hasselblad, Canon, Getty Images, Nikon and many others make our photography facilities some of the finest in Europe. Every large studio, darkroom, process area and piece of photography equipment is designed and calibrated for professional use.

You’ll gain industry insights and inspiration from photographers like Rut Blees Luxemburg and Martin Parr, wildlife filmmakers like Doug Allen, and photojournalists like Antonio Olmos.

The Institute of Photography is home to one of Europe's best-equipped photography facilities. Students have access to incredible studio spaces furnished with the latest photography and post-production equipment.
