"The Journalism course at Falmouth gave me the opportunity to write about and experience the things I'm interested in, namely the restaurant industry. In my third year I interviewed Jamie Oliver at the Fifteen Watergate Bay opening. This was largely set up by University College Falmouth and provided me with a great piece for my food and drink orientated portfolio. I also won the PTC award for most promising student.
The standard of teaching on the course was high; the lecturers have all worked in the industry and consequently know their stuff. The feedback on my journalistic writing was extremely helpful. I'm now senior reporter on Restaurant Magazine and I still apply some of that advice today."
