“The last six years have given me an incredibly meaningful career helping businesses to respect human rights. While my work initially focused on the prevention of modern slavery, it’s now expanded into topics such as ethical renewable energy and community and indigenous rights.
“My current role involves implementing the human rights programme for a large company at a global scale; it’s an incredible privilege to have found such a fulfilling and interesting calling. It's given me amazing opportunities, from going to the United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights in Geneva to receiving the Individual Impact Award by Unseen UK for my work advancing business practices.”
How did Falmouth impact your career?
“My time at Falmouth was key to where I am now; my degree gave me many practical skills useful to my career, such as solving complex problems, perfecting business processes and learning how to work with iterative improvement, which are core to effective human rights in business. It's a time in my journey I look back on fondly.”
