Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville
Songwriters and Recording Artists
Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville graduated from BA(Hons) Popular Music in 2014.
"After meeting and starting a band together at Falmouth University, we have spent the last 10 years writing, recording and touring as 'IDER'. We signed our first record deal in 2017 and have since released three albums and toured continuously around the UK, Europe and North America. We're set to release our fourth studio album in 2027, which we recorded in a residential studio-cum-church in Wales earlier this year. We'll also be embarking on our biggest tour yet, playing some of our dream venues, such as London's Kentish Town Forum."
How did Falmouth shape you?
"We loved our time at Falmouth. It is such a beautiful place where we found creativity, magic, great people and the time and space to explore and experiment. We had some incredible tutors, had access to amazing facilities and remember it as a formative time where we felt very supported. It's where we met each other and started making music together, so it will always have a special place in our hearts."
