What can you do with a Design, Architecture & Interiors degree?

Three Falmouth University Interior Design students in the studio

A degree in Design, Architecture or Interiors offers a range of creative and technical career paths that centre on finding innovative solutions for experiences, spaces and products.

Career options

Graduates can work in architectural practice or interior design studios, creating buildings, landscapes and environments across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and cultural settings. Some graduates move into related fields such as exhibition and experiential design, set and production design for film and theatre, furniture and product design, lighting design, or heritage and conservation.

Design graduates also thrive in graphic design, branding, digital design, UX/UI, motion graphics, and creative content roles, as well as in user research, service design and design strategy. With strong skills in visual communication, spatial thinking, problem-solving and human-centred design, graduates are well equipped to work in agencies, studios, tech companies and creative organisations, or to build freelance and entrepreneurial careers.
