Go Further with Adobe Express is designed for those ready to build on their basic skills and explore more advanced features. You’ll learn how to upload and edit images, apply effects, use quick actions like background removal and GIF creation, and animate text and icons.

The course also covers video creation, including adding narration, music, and trimming clips, as well as exporting your final edits.

You’ll gain confidence working with PDFs, editing content, combining files, and understanding supported formats.

Finally, discover how to collaborate effectively, share templates, give feedback, and use shared libraries and brand styles to stay consistent.

First Part (3 hours): Working with Images, Graphics & Effects

Uploading and importing images (.PSD, .AI, .PDF files)
Replacing images in templates
Editing images: Resizing, cropping, and applying filters
Adjusting image settings: Brightness, contrast, and saturation
Adding effects and filters to images
Adding icons and design elements
Quick actions: Background removal, GIF creation, and resizing
Animating text, icons, and images

Second Part (3 hours): Video Creation & Collaborative Design

Video creation:

Starting a video from scratch
Adding narration, music & voiceovers
Editing & trimming video
Exporting videos

Working with PDFs in Adobe Express:

Understanding PDF conversions
Editing PDF text & images
Reordering and combining documents
Supported file types (Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, PowerPoint)

Collaborative Design:

Working on projects with team members
Sharing templates

How you'll learn

Our online short courses are delivered through Canvas, our online learning platform, with scheduled tutor-led sessions delivered through BigBlueButton, a browser-based online meeting tool, ensuring a seamless learning experience. Each session begins with a live online session where the tutor introduces the topic and guides learners through the course materials. Learning is supported through a range of methods, including videos and practical exercises, with tutors available throughout the session to provide guidance and answer questions. Our blended teaching approach combines live tutor support with high-quality online learning resources, creating an engaging and supportive learning experience.

Lisa joined Falmouth University as a Digital Skills Trainer in 2019 and delivers a wide range of digital skills courses to students, staff, and external delegates. Her key areas of expertise include Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Rush, Adobe Express, and Canva. With a background in graphic design, Lisa brings industry knowledge and valuable design and layout skills to her training sessions.
