Senior Technician: The Games Academy
Joe Dawes is a Senior Technician with the Games Academy at Falmouth University.
Joe has been working at Falmouth University since 2023, initially as an intern developer for the online learning resources used by the Computing department of the Games Academy. In 2024, Joe became a Senior Technician with the Games Academy, starting his academic career. As Joe completed both his Undergraduate and Postgraduate course with Falmouth University, he is well versed in the culture and content of the courses within the Games Academy. Joe currently supports teaching on; programming, computing, computer science, games development and games programming.
Joe's current interests focus on the development of skills related to the building of utilitarian software tools, and has put this interest into practice with various software projects for Falmouth University. Notably supporting the development of an assistive timetabling planning tool deployed to the faculty. Joe's current research interests include; Computing, Computing Education, Games Education and Artificial Intelligence.
