Falmouth University’s Cornwall Business School has been recognised for good practice by the Institute of Travel & Tourism (ITT) – a professional organisation for individuals working within the travel and tourism sector.

The news that Falmouth University has become a ‘Recognised University’ by the ITT comes after academic staff from the Sustainable Tourism Management BA(Hons), Sustainable Festival Management BA (Hons) and Creative Events Management BA(Hons) courses put forward an application in October 2022.

The new ITT status means that Falmouth University’s Cornwall Business School demonstrates good practice, and that the team are proactive in driving up professional standards within the sector and continually advancing their approach to developing students and staff within the institution.

The accolade was confirmed by the Board Director and Chair of the ITT Education and Training Committee, Claire Steiner, following ratification by the ITT Education and Training Committee. Claire stated: “We are delighted that Falmouth University has been awarded this honour and wish you continued success.”

Adrian Bossey, Head of Business & Experience Design, added: “We are so pleased that our innovative courses and exciting partnership with the Eden Project have been recognised by the ITT.” Green and black logo for Institute of Travel & Tourism Recognised University
