Introducing our new-look creative summer schools for young people
18 March 2026
We’re delighted to open our doors once again this summer, welcoming young people aged 14-17 to campus for a series of revitalised, hands-on summer schools in July 2026.
Our three programmes cover game development, filmmaking and theatre arts, giving young people an opportunity to step behind the scenes at a thriving creative university, and to see what life might be like studying a creative subject.
Taught over one or two days in the summer, the courses provide a practical opportunity for attendees to experience the technology and creativity underpinning the creative sector in our industry-standard facilities, under the guidance of experienced technicians and academic staff.
Designed from the outset to be inclusive, supportive and accessible to beginners – while still offering a bit of a challenge! - these experience days are a way for young people to grow their confidence and creative exploration, and offer insights into the possibilities of creative education.
For young people looking toward a future in the creative industries, the courses are an ideal way to start building a portfolio, receive a certificate of completion, gain practical skills and dip a toe into the bustling, creative world of the arts.
