Creative Advertising Associate Lecturer, Becky Wass, shared her idea on social media to support elderly neighbours who need to self-isolate during the Coronavirus crisis. It’s proved so popular with other users, people as far away as Australia are using her postcard in their communities. And Becky has made the news in Cornwall and beyond!

Becky said she felt so helpless by news of the spread of the Covid-19 virus that she knew she had to do something to help in her community. She sent postcards to elderly neighbours in her town that state: “Hello! If you are self-isolating, I can help.” and then provides details on how to make contact and how she can help. She has shared the postcard for others to use in their community and show kindness during this difficult time.

Becky said,

The response has been overwhelmingly positive. With all the fear surrounding Coronavirus, it’s been amazing to see people around the world wanting to help their communities."

Well done Becky! You can find the postcard at bit.ly/viralkindness.
