Falmouth’s hospitality, event management and tourism courses have been ranked third in the Guardian University Guide 2022.

Falmouth’s hospitality, event management and tourism courses achieved a staggering score of 90.3 out of 100, placing them third in the Guardian University Guide.

Unlike other league tables, the Guardian focuses its rankings on the things that matter most to students. It places good teaching and job prospects at its heart, it examines student feedback on teaching and the course through responses in the annual National Student Survey. It also takes into account how much universities spend on teaching per student and the academic improvement of students on a course.

Falmouth's BA(Hons) Sustainable Tourism Management is the only tourism course that focuses on sustainability in the country. BA(Hons) Sustainable Festival Management has been described by Sir Tim Smit, co-founder of the Eden Project, as "a fresh young project, dedicated to exploring the world in a new way" and as the world watched on, BA(Hons) Creative Events Management students were excelling in roles at the G7.

Our students are pushed to be reflective and active learners; delivering several live projects on our cutting-edge courses in festival, event and tourism management.
Adrian Bossey, Head of Business & Experience Design, was thrilled with the results. “It is brilliant to have gone up three places and achieve our second top ten ranking in two years, at a very challenging time”, he said.

“Our students are pushed to be reflective and active learners; delivering several live projects on our cutting-edge courses in festival, event and tourism management, while benefitting from our partnerships with The Eden Project, A Greener Future and Attitude is Everything.”
