“AI makes the value of human storytelling clearer than ever”: Falmouth online tutor on embracing our differences
02 September 2025

With a rich and varied educational and industry-facing background, creative Elizabeth Gleave brings a wealth of expertise to her role as online tutor on Falmouth’s online master’s in Marketing and Digital Communications.
From developing international projects across the creative industries to delivering digital marketing and communications strategies, Elizabeth has built a career which centres around the transformative power of storytelling in its many shapes and forms.
“I began to imagine what the world might look like if regenerative movements, ideas and organisations had the same marketing reach as brands like Nike or Coca-Cola", Elizabeth tells us of her early interest in storytelling as both a commercial tool and a force for positive change. “When storytelling is rooted in integrity, it can inspire, mobilise and create the conditions for collective flourishing.”
In creating and co-founding Land Art Agency & Collective in 2020, Elizabeth established what would become a global platform dedicated to “restoring the earth and our communities creatively,” offering resilient networks, mentorship, workshops and resources for regenerative creative practice. “It is exciting to see how our platform and offerings create a fertile ground and international community engaged in creative collaboration, inspiration and ecological stewardship”, she explains.
Far from replacing us, AI has the potential to encourage us to embrace what makes us distinctive and to tell our stories with honesty and nuance. It reminds us of the power in finding the courage to share our inimitable perspectives.
In her role as online tutor at Falmouth, Elizabeth is part of another global creative community – supporting students through coaching, advising on project direction and on career progression more broadly. “Falmouth’s approach strongly aligns with my values and interests, and the role very much suits my work in creative education. It’s a meaningful opportunity to support others in developing their own practice and futures”, she tells us.
The accessibility of online study is another reason Elizabeth was drawn to Falmouth, as well as the diversity of perspectives gained from a global learning community. “The scale of possibility has been inspiring to see; it can open doors for students who might otherwise never have access to this level of education”, she says. “It has been exciting to connect with the Falmouth network and to be a part of building online learning communities focused on supporting creative development – the possibilities open up infinitely and it’s a privilege to witness and be a part of that process.”
Fostering human connection has always been integral to Elizabeth’s work – whether through her work with international clients or her flagship workshops and talks – and it's what keeps her faith in the creative industries amidst the rise of AI.“I believe that AI makes the value of human storytelling clearer than ever”, she tells us. “Algorithms can generate content, but they cannot replicate the power, authenticity, or emotional impact of sharing lived experiences. Far from replacing us, AI has the potential to encourage us to embrace what makes us distinctive and to tell our stories with honesty and nuance. It reminds us of the power in finding the courage to share our inimitable perspectives.”
