David Potter
Course Leader, BSc(Hons) Business courses
David has 33 years experience in the finance sector, including responsibility for a portfolio of small to medium businesses which included risk assessment and analysis. During this time duties also included liaison between the Bank and Durham Business School for the provision of an internal accreditation programme. Experience has been built on range of roles within the retail banking sector, Group level training and education, fraud prevention, Group policy oversight and risk management.
University teaching has been built around 30 years of part time teaching delivery for the banking professional institutes which also includes additional roles within academic quality, sustainability and activities leading to degree awarding powers.
Following his banking career David became a full-time university lecturer in North Wales and Scotland, prior to joining Cornwall Business School.
