Byron Crowhurst
Senior Technician
Byron Crowhurst is a Senior Technician at the Games Academy at Falmouth University. Byron began working at Falmouth University in 2022. Initially he began working as an Associate Lecturer for Computing and Game Development, teaching foundational programming concepts and software architecture for video games. In 2025 Byron became a Senior Technician where he still delivers teaching within the Computing field, while also supporting students in their day-to-day development.
Byron completed his Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees at Falmouth University in the Games Academy and has since founded an independent games studio named Ludophoria who, in 2025, have released their debut title Arm of Satan on Steam.
Byron's primary interests revolve around empowering people to create video games. He is also interested in the ways that humans empathize with Non-Player Characters, and the technical implementation of traditional Artificial Intelligence techniques in game agents.
