Student film exhibited by award-winning fashion website

Third-year Fashion Photography student Layna Miyazaki has had her film Another Day exhibited by SHOWstudio, an award-winning fashion website founded and directed by British fashion photographer Nick Knight.
Another Day is the result of Layna’s final year client brief project. This module gives students the opportunity to work with a selected business on a proposed professional brief. Layna, who was mentored by artist Amy Gwatkin during her project, chose to respond to SHOWstudio’s proposal.
After submitting her project, Layna was thrilled to discover that Nick Knight was interested in featuring her film on his website. “I was speechless and extremely grateful that he was considering publishing my film. At a difficult time, this really brought light to my final year.”
Another Day is the accumulation of three years of artistic development and, according to Layna, testament to the course’s industry focus. “The Fashion Photography course has incredible facilities and many opportunities that allow students to get industry experience, develop and create work.
“All the course teachers and technicians are extremely supportive.It's been an amazing experience. There’s a lot of freedom in creating work you are passionate about and there’s no better place than Cornwall for the beautiful scenery and environment to create!”
