We caught up with Elliot Caunce in April when he introduced us to Davey, a Scottish man who's been self-isolating for the last 12 years in a tent in The Highlands.

Elliot met Davey when he was creating his final project for his BA (Hons) Press and Editorial Photography. He told us,

I decided to explore the theme of off-grid living in Scotland. I met Davey completely by chance while on the way to meet another hermit who is known to live in one of Scotland’s remotest regions. I bumped into Davey and we got talking - I couldn’t believe my luck.

Recently graduated, Elliot’s full story has been featured in The Guardian - Splendid isolation: in search of Scotland's hermits. His portrayal of four modern hermits who live off the grid in Scotland.

Read Elliot’s story in The Guardian to meet Jake, Sara, Davey and Ken.
