Falmouth University is delighted that Professor Seamus O'Brien CMgr FCMI, Dean of the Faculty of Business & Design, has been appointed to the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) South West Regional Board as Regional Stakeholder Lead.

The appointment further strengthens the relationship between CMI and Falmouth University. Through this partnership, Falmouth University and Professor O'Brien already contribute to CMI's mission of 'increasing the number and standard of professionally qualified managers'.

Professor O'Brien's role as Regional Stakeholder Lead entails articulating CMI’s proposition, messaging, policy and thought leadership amongst a range of stakeholders in the South West region, such as Chambers of Commerce, LEPs, professional bodies and other business organisations.

Another aspect of the role is to support our local community by identifying collaborative event opportunities with external stakeholders: helping to provide learning, development and networking opportunities for business professionals across the South West region.

We are thrilled to congratulate Professor O'Brien on this appointment, and look forward to his contribution to a shared vision of 'better led and managed organisations'.
