29 April 2026
Falmouth University has received glowing feedback in a worldwide survey of international students.
The International Student Barometer (ISB) is the world’s largest survey of international students, with 4.3 million respondents across 40 different countries.
Its annual results provide universities with detailed insight across many different areas, from their arrival at university to quality of learning, lecturers, facilities and more.
Falmouth scored particularly well on Overall Happiness in this year’s ISB report, with 90.5%* of respondents saying they are enjoying their time at the university.
The survey also shows 98% approval for parts of the onboarding and enrolment process – something that’s a key concern for students arriving to the UK for their studies.
Below, we take a deep-dive into the survey data, and how international students are finding their studies at Falmouth.

This year, Falmouth scored well above the global and UK average for international students arriving at university.
The ISB shows that 98.1% of all respondents agreed that the University provides accurate, clear and informative pre-arrival information, while an above-average number of international students said they enjoyed their first night on campus.
Every year we aim to make arriving at Falmouth University as easy and seamless as possible for travelling international students and one thing we consistently offer is an airport collection service (booking for 2026 is now open).
During Welcome Week, we also host all kinds of events where international students can get involved with campus life and meet other like-minded students.
Falmouth also scored 98% satisfaction in the Academic Registration category, and 96.2% for Meeting the Academic Team.
The university also achieved a 93.8% approval rate in the Introduction to Clubs and Societies category.
The Students’ Union is very much at the heart of student life at Falmouth, supporting international students with country, language, religious and secular societies that all students are welcome to attend. These can be found on the Falmouth & Exeter Students’ Union website.
