Falmouth University has been awarded the 'Employability and Entrepreneurship' prize at the Guardian University Awards 2018.

The in-house photography agency MAYN Creative sealed the win for Falmouth, as it provides students the opportunity to work on client briefs for organisations such as WWF and in collaboration with established creative industry, such as SONY Music.

Students gain experience and earn money by completing these briefs, and can add the projects to their graduate portfolio. Since MAYN began operating in December 2016, it has provided 286 assignments for 62 selected students, who have earned a collective £14,374.

Lynn Chambers, Manager of MAYN Creative, said: "We are over the moon to have won the 'Employability and Entrepreneurship' Guardian University Award. To be recognised at this level is an incredible achievement, and I am so proud of all our Falmouth University photographers for their commitment and continued professional development.

"We hope this recognition will help us connect with a broader range of industry clients and partners who can support MAYN Creative to facilitate bigger and better opportunities for our emerging talent."
