Falmouth Fine Art MA (Online) Lecturer and artist Evan Ifekoya has worked in partnership with Camden Art Centre on a new two-part podcast exploring global artist networks.

The podcast, entitled Resonant Networks: Art, Place & Practice, explores the infrastructures that sustain creative practice in Lagos, Nigeria and beyond, and considers how artist residencies might create space for listening, reflection and new connections.

In episode one, Evan is joined by Moni Aisida, Executive Director of Guest Artists Space, and Magda Kaggwa, Comms & Projects Manager of the Yinka Shonibare Foundation, for a conversation on building cultural ecosystems and nurturing artistic exchange.

Episode two features Amanda Iheme, Igbo-Nigerian architectural photographer, writer and educator, in conversation with Evan on the intersections of art, psychology and the architectural landscape of Lagos.

Interspersed throughout the podcast episodes are sounds recorded by Evan during their own artist residency at Guest Artists Space in 2023, and during a more recent trip to Lagos, Ibadan and Benin City, Nigeria in August 2025. They explained: “Being able to weave Lagos and other parts of Nigeria’s soundscapes into the conversations meant I could honour the city’s presence within my own practice of deep listening whilst giving students an immersive, sensory doorway into its rhythms, its chaos and its beauty.”

Evan leads Fine Art MA (Online)’s annual ‘Collaborative Practice’ module and, in the new year, the podcast will be published within the curriculum for students enrolled on this module to discuss together with the teaching team.

Josie Cockram, Fine Art MA (Online) Course Lead told us: “We’ve been delighted to work in partnership with Camden Art Centre on this project. I’d particularly like to thank curators Matt Williams and Didi Wambugu, and sound editor Patrick Young. And of course, I’d like to thank Evan for sharing their network in Lagos with podcast listeners and our course community. Our two-year MA programme is committed to supporting artists across the UK and internationally to work together in sustainable communities of practice online.”

Resonant Networks: Art, Place & Practice is available to listen to On Demand on Camden Art Centre’s website, or via Camden Art Audio on streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
