CIM accreditation for BSc Business & Marketing (Online)

Students on Falmouth’s BSc Business & Marketing (Online) degree will now benefit from improved career prospects following the course being accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

The accreditation means that Falmouth students can attain an array of different qualifications from the Institute, which are only available when studying on CIM accredited courses.

Once attained, the CIM qualifications can have a positive impact on career progression. According to a survey taken by CIM alumni, a third said they were promoted or received a pay rise within 12 months of finishing their CIM course. Additionally, 60% of employees said that they were given more responsibility in their roles after undertaking a CIM course.

The accreditation also means that students only complete one CIM assessment instead of the usual three to attain their qualifications, meaning a Falmouth graduate could be in the workplace quicker.

BSc Business and Marketing (Online) course leader Dr Francisco Romera told us: “We are very happy to have the support of CIM for this course – and many of our other marketing courses.  This accreditation recognises the quality of our course, and the variety of topics covered. This accreditation also means that our students can access a range of benefits from CIM on graduation, and this will help them to be more competitive in their future careers.”

The CIM is the leading professional body for marketers worldwide and exists to develop the marketing profession, maintain professional standards and improve the skills of marketing practitioners.

BSc Business & Marketing (Online) joins other Falmouth courses in Cornwall Business School and the School of Communication benefitting from CIM accreditation, marking the degrees as professionally recognised and designed to develop the core skills needed for modern marketers.
