Creatives on Creatives: Denzil Forrester MBE and Duncan Cameron
16 October 2026
Creatives on Creatives is a new video series from Falmouth University where we meet the people taking the creative industries by storm.
Our first episode features artists Denzil Forrester MBE and Duncan Cameron.
Denzil Forrester MBE is one of the most significant painters working in Britain today. He is an artist whose large-format oils have transformed how Black British life and culture are represented within contemporary art.
We paired Denzil with Duncan Cameron, Head of Art at Falmouth and a prolific artist in his own right, for a conversation on artistic identity, capturing atmosphere in artwork, and the power of being an artist in Cornwall.
Denzil is a recipient of a Falmouth University Honorary Award 2026, recognising his outstanding contributions to the creative sector, and the championing of cultural identity in his work.
