Launchpad candidates got to sharpen their public speaking skills at a Cornish landmark this week in a pitching masterclass.

The group visited the Minack Theatre to take part in a workshop led by sales and presentation coach Trevor Lee, where they took to the stage to pitch their ideas.

Trevor said: "In the business world we are pitching our ideas all the time, not just to potential investors and customers but to colleagues, suppliers, team members etc. so wherever you are on your business journey having great pitching skills will not only stand you out but undoubtedly help you be successful.

"It was a great pleasure for me to deliver the pitching skills session to the Launchpad entrepreneurs, especially at the iconic venue that is the Minack Theatre. It was slightly bemusing when Minack tourists sat down to listen to me – I think they probably thought I was part of the tourist trail!"

Launchpad candidate Ananya Banerjee, who joined the programme last month, added: "Trevor's session was extremely engaging. The unobstructed view of the Atlantic, grand seats at the Minack, and the perfect weather turned the training session into a lesson that I won't forget anytime soon.

It was a great pleasure for me to deliver the pitching skills session to the Launchpad entrepreneurs, especially at the iconic venue that is the Minack Theatre.

"It helped me identify some of the blind spots I had about pitching. I plan on using the learnings to the fullest extent in the million sales and investment pitches my team and I will have in the near future."
