Launchpad Invest

Students sat on chairs and having a discussion.

Launchpad Invest connects Falmouth's most promising student founders with successful entrepreneurs and investors from the Cornwall Angel Network, combining mentorship, business support and industry connections to help turn innovative ideas into sustainable ventures and embed emerging founders within Cornwall's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Turning entrepreneurial talent into investment-ready ventures

Launchpad Invest is Falmouth University's next-generation entrepreneurship programme, connecting ambitious student founders with experienced investors, business leaders and entrepreneurs from across Cornwall. Building on the success of Falmouth's long-running Dragons' Den competition, Launchpad Invest evolves the model from a one-off pitching opportunity into a programme that provides ongoing mentorship, valuable industry connections and a gateway into Cornwall's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Delivered in partnership with the Cornwall Angel Network, Launchpad Invest gives student founders the opportunity to receive guidance from investors who have successfully built, scaled and exited their own businesses. Through structured mentoring, practical business support and direct engagement with Cornwall's investment community, participants gain real-world insights that help transform ideas into viable ventures. The programme is designed not only to support new company creation, but also to help emerging founders build the networks, confidence and commercial understanding needed to thrive beyond graduation.
