Falmouth University is delighted to offer an exclusive progression pathway for members of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) onto our MA Marketing & Digital Communications (Online) programme. This pathway is available for CIM members joining as a new student from September 2026.
This tailored route recognises your prior learning and professional achievements, helping you to take the next step in your marketing career through our industry-focused, flexible online master’s.

Tuition fee discount
Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) members are eligible for a £1,000 tuition fee discount regardless of your level of CIM qualification, as part of our Cultural Membership Discount. Terms and conditions apply, find out more here.

Application process
1. Chat with a Course Advisor and let them know that you are a CIM member and planning to apply.
2. Make an application to MA Marketing & Digital Communications (Online) and include details of your relevant CIM qualifications. You will be able to select your CIM qualification from the drop-down menu when you list your qualifications.

Terms and conditions
- These terms and conditions apply specifically to the Chartered Institute of Marketing progression pathway and should be read alongside the University’s Admissions policy. In the event of any conflict, the University’s Admissions policy shall prevail.
- You must be a current CIM member at the time of application and will be asked to verify this by sharing evidence of your membership.
- Credit exemption for any master’s degree will affect your eligibility for a UK Government master’s loan. Please read the UK Government website for full details.
- Students must enrol onto MA Marketing & Digital Communications (Online) at Falmouth University; this pathway does not extend to any other on campus or online courses run by Falmouth University or our partners.
- Applicants must be a new postgraduate student at Falmouth University commencing their studies in academic year 2026/2027 which includes starting in September 2026, January 2027 and May 2027.
- All offers are conditional on meeting standard application conditions as set by the University’s admissions policy, including English language requirements, if appropriate. Evidence of CIM qualifications will be requested as part of the application process.
- CIM Level 7 qualifications will provide automatic exemption from the introductory module of MA Marketing & Digital Communications (Online) only: MDO710: Marketing in the Digital World. If an applicant wishes to apply for additional credit exemption, they must go through the University’s standard APL process.
- Falmouth University reserves the right to amend or withdraw this progression route prior to enrolment.
- Any personal data supplied for verification purposes will be processed in accordance with Falmouth University’s Privacy Notice and applicable data protection legislation.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
