About the bursary

As a commitment to promoting access to high-quality creative education, Falmouth University is offering a unique discount to members of select Cultural Membership Organisations who signed up to Falmouth’s Cultural Membership Organisation (CMO) Discount Scheme. This arrangement has been mutually agreed by both Falmouth University and recognised organisations. 

The offer for members of Cultural Organisations within the CMO discount scheme: 

  • £1000 discount from the full-tuition fees for any part-time postgraduate online master’s programme starting in academic year 2025/26 or 2026/27. This includes starting in January 2026, May 2026, September 2026, January 2027 and May 2027. Members will receive their discount either from the full price if paying in full, or from the final course fee if paying in instalments. 
  • This offer is for new students enrolling onto a postgraduate online master’s programme in academic year 2025/26 or 2026/27, who currently hold a membership at one of Falmouth’s recognised CMOs.  

Allocation and payment of the discount: 

  • Student must notify the Online Team that they wish to apply for the Cultural Membership discount in a separate email ahead of enrolment.
  • After applying, student must let their Course Advisor know that they are a member of a recognised CMO and provide their membership confirmation email and/or number. Course Advisors will confirm whether their organisation has signed up to the scheme.  
  • Eligibility will be established through Falmouth University verifying membership with the organisation directly. Falmouth University’s decision is final. 
  • The discount will be withdrawn for those students who withdraw from their course mid-year. As such, they will be liable to pay the full rate of fees for the period attended, as per the Falmouth University Fees Policy
  • Students who intermit from their course mid-year will continue to qualify for the discount upon the resumption of their studies. If an intermitting student instead chooses to withdraw from their course, then they will be liable to pay the full rate of fees for the period attended, as per the Falmouth University Fees Policy

Eligibility

Who is it for? 

To be eligible for this discount, the applicant must meet the following criteria: 

  • Applicants must be commencing their studies in either academic year 2025/2026 or academic year 2026/2027 which includes starting in January 2026, May 2026, September 2026, January 2027 or May 2027.  
  • Students must enrol onto an online postgraduate master’s degree at Falmouth University, this offer does not extend to any other on-campus or online degrees run by Falmouth University or our partners 
  • Applicants must hold an active membership with an organisation that has signed up to the discount scheme.  
  • Applicants must be entering directly into study block 1 in the first year of the course. 
  • Applications who defer to the academic year 2027/28 will not be considered. 

How it’s awarded 

  • You do not need to complete any additional forms but do need to inform the Course Advisor that you wish to apply by email.The discount will automatically be credited once the eligibility criteria have been met.  
  • You will be sent confirmation of the discount, including instructions on accepting an offer on an eligible course. 

Limits to offer 

  • This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount at Falmouth University including, but not limited to: International Bursary, Early Bird Discount, Graduate Loyalty Discount and Refer a Friend Discount. 
  • This discount only applies to two-year Postgraduate Online master’s programmes therefore Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) is not eligible.  
  • The Cultural Membership discount cannot be applied for after a student has enrolled on their course. 
  • Falmouth University reserves the right to change or withdraw this offer at any point and without prior notification.
