People flock to Falmouth from far and wide yet Insa Von Der Luhe’s journey is a tough one to beat.

She came straight from the bright lights of Singapore to Falmouth to study Music, Theatre & Entertainment Management and has never looked back. After graduating in 2018, she’s now established herself as a key team member in the marketing department at Festival Republic and is living her dream of working in the music industry.

Insa told us: "I’ve always loved music but I’ve never been able to play any instruments. So I thought to myself why not learn how run the show? It was this that guided me all the way from Singapore to Falmouth."

Now based in London, Insa is helping to create newsletters and write articles for Festival Republic, the organisers of some of the UK’s biggest festivals including Latitude, Download and Reading/Leeds. She secured the job after a series of successful work placements with the company.

“It all started when I reached out to Festival Republic asking if I could do a placement with them," Insa explained. "I’m not sure quite how it happened but they read my email and replied to me. I did my first placement with them at the end of my second year and from there they kept asking me back. It’s so surreal now actually being part of the music industry. I’m loving every minute of it.”
