BSc(Hons) Robotics graduate Adithi Jayaraman came to Falmouth as an international student after the university stood out to her during the interview process.

Arriving with almost no technical background, Adithi has since built the electronics experience to compare two different reinforcement learning algorithms in simulation for her dissertation, testing the results on the department's robotic arm, alongside projects including Solaris and the Warthog and the university's ambassador schemes. Along the way, she has made friends and memories she says she will cherish once she returns home.

Adithi - Robotics

"Hello, I'm Adithi, and I'm a third-year robotics student.

"My dissertation focused on comparing two different reinforcement learning algorithms, and this was done in simulation. I tested it using the robotic arm that we have here.

"I'm also an international student. Falmouth just stood out after the interview process. Technically, I came here with almost zero knowledge, so the fact that I can work on electronics now, I have good, solid experience, just even working on different projects like Solaris, the Warthog, my dissertation, and I also got to work on the ambassadoring schemes and things like that.

"So I got a lot of experience to talk to new people, and I've made such good friends here, and just lovely memories over the summer and going out and things like that. So that's something that I will cherish when I go back home."
