Support for Results Day

What is A Level Results Day?
Overview: This page contains information about A-Level Results Day, and where to get support.
A Level Results Day is one of the biggest moments in your education journey. It’s the day you find out the results of your A Level or T Level qualifications, which can help decide your next steps.
For many students, that means finding out whether they’ve secured a place at university.
When is it? This year, Results Day is on Thursday 14 August 2025.
What happens on Results Day?
Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect:
Step 1: Collect your results
You’ll collect your results in person from your school or college, usually first thing in the morning. Make sure to take a friend, relative or guardian with you to give you some support.
- Most people go in person to receive their results, but check with your school or college if this isn’t possible for you.
Step 2: Check your university offer status
Check UCAS Track to see if you have been accepted onto your university course.
If you get your first choice, there’s nothing you need to do today but celebrate! Enjoy this new chapter, and start planning your move to university.

What happens if you don’t get the results you expected?
Whether you get the grades you were hoping for or things don’t go quite to plan, there’s always a way forward.
First step: contact your university. They may be flexible, especially if you narrowly missed your target grades.
- We recommend contacting them by phone on Results Day, as they will be busy speaking to other applicants, and may not see an email for several hours.
If you cannot secure your first choice of university, you may be offered your Insurance choice. You can find out about what this means at Falmouth here.
At Falmouth, our friendly Applicant Services team will be available throughout the summer and from 09:00 - 20:00 on Results Day to support you. You can even book a call back in advance, if this is more convenient.
