Support for Results Day

Overview: This page contains information about A Level Results Day, and where to get support.
What is A Level Results Day?
A Level Results Day is one of the biggest moments in your education journey so far, but it won’t define your future. Whatever your grades, there are plenty of exciting opportunities ahead.
For many students, Results Day means finding out if you’ve secured a place at your chosen university.
This year, Results Day is on Thursday 14 August 2025.
What happens on Results Day?
Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect:
Step 1: Collect your results
You’ll collect your results in person from your school or college, usually first thing in the morning. Think about taking a friend, relative or guardian with you to give you some support.
- Most people go in person to receive their results, but check with your school or college if this isn’t possible for you.
Step 2: Check your university offer status
Check UCAS Track to see if you have been accepted onto your university course.
If you get your first choice, there’s nothing you need to do today but celebrate! Enjoy this new chapter, and start planning your move to university.

What happens if you don’t get the results you expected?
Whether you get the grades you were hoping for or things don’t go quite to plan, there’s always a way forward.
First step: if you are holding a place at Falmouth University, call us. We may be able to be flexible, especially if you narrowly missed your target grades.
- We recommend contacting us by phone on Results Day, as we will be busy speaking to other applicants, and may not see an email for several hours.
If you didn’t secure your first choice of university and have been offered a place at Falmouth as your insurance choice, you can find out what this means, here.
If you are interested in applying to Falmouth University through Clearing or Adjustment, check out the information below, or call us. We will be delighted to talk to you about your options.
At Falmouth, our friendly Applicant Services team will be available throughout the summer and from 09:00 - 20:00 on Results Day to support you. You can even book a call back in advance, if this is more convenient.
