Yifan Feng
Online Tutor, User Experience Design MA (Online)
Yifan B. Feng is an Online Tutor on our User Experience Design MA (Online) course. He is a design researcher and a teaching fellow in Computer Science and Creative Robotics at the UAL Creative Computing Institute. With an interdisciplinary background in computational media, his work applies creative and critical methods to technology design across domains such as play, wellbeing, and learning. He brings research insights into the classroom to support students in developing the skills needed to shape more just and equitable technological futures in the 21st century. He is conducting his PhD research at the Dyson School of Design Engineering, Imperial College London (previously UCL Interaction Centre (UCLIC)), investigating smart textile and soft robotic artefacts for behavioural change and social wellbeing. Alongside the research, he is also interested in open-source software (OSS) and engages in non-profit community projects that advance social software engineering practice.
