Francesca Rausa
Associate Lecturer, Architecture BA(Hons)
Francesca’s practice of design and making is inspired by the local landscape where she’s based. Living and working in Cornwall, she is a co-founder and co-director of Social Designs, Social Constructs and ReCollective. She brings to the table theories of care and practice methods which incorporate a material-first approach.
Francesca has a background in art, carpentry and sustainable architecture, derived from both her studies at the Royal College of Art (RCA) and the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) and her time in practice in Milan, London, Sweden and Cornwall - pursuing specific interests in community participation, ecology and local heritage crafts.
