I went to Bunka Technical College in Tokyo for my degree in Fashion Studies. I joined fashion design clothing company Nicole where I developed my skill as a pattern cutter and was part of the fashion show pattern cutting team (Paris, NY and Tokyo), working with fashion designer Mitsuhiro Matsuda. I specialise in women's wear tailoring for sports and stretch garments. After many years of working as a fashion show pattern cutter I expanded my career into street fashion pattern cutting. I then joined Couture clothing company and worked closely with the customers, improving my fitting skills.
I came to the UK in 2000 to study English in London and later lived in Brighton. I moved down to Cornwall in 2005 with my family and joined Falmouth in 2007 through the Fashion and Performance Sportswear course. I'm developing my skills in teaching pattern cutting, and expanding them using the CAD system.
