Chantal Laws
Lecturer, Creative Events Management MA (Online)
Chantal joined Falmouth in 2023, initially full-time as Course Leader and since January 2025 as a part-time Lecturer for MA Creative Events Management.
She has twenty-five years’ experience of teaching, research and course management in creative events and has worked at several UK universities and taught internationally.
Her professional background is in arts and heritage management, having started out as an archaeological research assistant and curator before going on to manage a multi-stage Arts Council/Lottery-funded London music venue. Alongside academic work, I helped to organise an annual fringe festival of gardening, and now volunteer as a mentor for young people wanting to access creative careers.
Currently, as well as lecturing for Falmouth, Chantal teaches at Ravensbourne University London and works for Kent Music (Hub Lead Organisation for music education in Kent, UK).
