Cornwall Business School works at the intersection of the creative industries, visitor economy and entrepreneurship to respond to real-world challenges and opportunities.
Through collaborative and impactful Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE), we connect people, place and landscape, advancing sustainability, innovation, wellbeing and inclusivity to develop resilient communities across local, national and international contexts.
Research focus
Our research addresses real-world challenges and creates meaningful and measurable impacts by shaping policy, informing practice, developing community structures and enhancing the lived experience of individuals.
We believe that by having a collaborative RKE environment we can shape discovery and connect people to place and landscape through meaningful engagements with individuals, organisations and institutions.
Our research is influenced by our ambition to develop resilience across local, national and international contexts.
It includes topics such as:
- Sustainable development, sustainability transitions and governance, including Surfonomics.
- Regenerative destination development, creative placemaking and the visitor economy.
- Ethical implications of artificial intelligence, specifically in relation to mental health and wellbeing.
- Music production and festival curation, in relation to music’s role in cultural sustainability.
