A double bill performance featuring Company Fides and Company Itch.
Company Fides:
We are shaped by our relationships since we are born, counting on those around us until we grow to find our independence. Our reliance on others creates strong support systems but weakens our ability to cope alone, yet we still rely heavily on our social connections until we become entirely dependent again in old age.
These connections waver through life, we lose touch with friends, shedding the weight of outgrown relationships and making new ones that challenge and compliment us. Social support has been proven to have a positive influence for humans, but at what point does the balance shift, turning into unhealthy, emotionally draining connections? Could our reliance on others make us more susceptible to manipulation?

Company Itch:
A body you don’t recognise.
How does it feel to find yourself in it?
Company Itch explores how a person is shaped through constructed images. Three dancers build these images, inhabit them, and gradually let them loosen. Clothing keeps a body in a certain image, holding it together as a kind of armour. The piece moves from a body held in an image towards something less recognisable, as layers of armour are removed. There is a heartbeat underneath.
At some point, even vulnerability begins to slip. What remains is hard to define.
