A double bill performance featuring Company Cascade and Company Unmasked.
Company Cascade:
'When a butterfly flutters its wings in one part of the world, it can eventually cause a hurricane in another.' - Edward Norton Lorenz
Our lives are filled with chain reactions. We are constantly learning from people and experiences which change who we are. How often do we stop and think about what impact our actions and decisions have on everything around us? How often are we a part of a butterfly affect?
Transmission shows a journey of discovery and change, but what impact will it have on you?

Company Unmasked:
While other people may spend their teenage and early adult years going out and having fun, trying new things and finding themselves. I spent my time in and out of hospitals and doctor appointments, trying different medications and finding new diagnoses.
As a dancer, it was very disheartening hearing it will get better, only for my health to continue to deteriorate. I felt a complete loss of identity and self. Without realising it, I was grieving. The dancer I was. The dancer I could have been. In my performance, I use the 5 stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance; as a foundation to show my journey through this crisis.
I use the combination of film and live performance to portray the dynamic aspect of my disabilities. This means that on the day, if my health allows me, I could dance most choreography full out; however, if not, then I may only mark it. What you see live on the day is real. Not fake or staged, you will see me and my health as I am on that day, at that time.
