Who it's for: Eligible international students paying international fees applying for an on-campus taught undergraduate or postgraduate course demonstrating exceptional talent.

About the award

A limited number of £5,000 scholarships called International Talent Awards will be available. These scholarships will be able to be paid towards tuition fees in Year 1.

The following £5,000 undergraduate awards are available:

  • 1 award will be available for India
  • 1 award will be available for East and South-East Asia
  • 2 awards will be available for USA
  • An additional 5 awards will be available worldwide

The following £5,000 postgraduate (master's) scholarships are available:

  • 5 awards will be available worldwide

Please note students can only receive one scholarship (talent or GREAT).


To be eligible for the International Talent Awards you will:

  • Qualify for the International fee rate (it therefore does not include EU students with settled status)
  • Be new to Falmouth University in 2022/23 (2021/2022 deferred students will also be considered for the scholarship)
  • Be entering directly into the first year of the course
  • Have applied for a Falmouth based course (not Falmouth Flexible or other partnership courses), starting in September 2022
  • Have received an offer by 23:59 BST on 1st June 2022

How to apply

All offer holders who have received an offer by 23:59 BST on 1st June 2022 and fall within the eligibility criteria will be considered for the award. There is no form to be completed and this offer deadline forms the deadline of the award.

How it's awarded

For undergraduate courses, each academic department will attribute awards based on the following criteria:

  • Previous experience and potential outlined in a personal statement.
  • Interview performance (including a portfolio, presentation or performance where applicable), scored by the academic team.

For postgraduate courses each academic department will attribute awards based on the following criteria:

  • Previous experience and potential outlined in a personal statement.
  • Interview performance (including a portfolio, presentation or performance, where applicable) scored by the academic team.

Where the number of suitable applicants exceeds the number of awards, the academic Heads of subject will make a final decision using the criteria detailed above and professional judgement.

When will I know if I've been awarded the scholarship?

The International Student Recruitment team will inform successful applicants of outcomes by the end of June 2022.  Successful applicants will be contacted by email, using the email as per the address that was provided in their application.
