Independent Member of the Board of Governors

Paul is a strategy adviser specialising in software, digital innovation and technology governance, with three decades of operational leadership and board-level advisory experience. 

He has scaled global businesses, product portfolios and R&D organisations, guided organic and inorganic growth strategies, and advised on significant acquisitions. Notably, he built Anite plc into a market leader in wireless communications assurance solutions, oversaw its sale to Keysight Technologies Inc, and led subsequent portfolio integration. 

Paul has led multinational teams and professional services operations across semiconductor, communications and automotive sectors, achieving sustained growth while embedding resilience in complex, technology-driven environments. He now supports founders, boards and organisations worldwide on sustainable expansion, technology adoption and translating emerging digital capabilities into dependable business models.

Paul holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham and a Certificate in Digital Transformation from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. An experienced mentor and educator, he has been a guest lecturer in Applied Strategy at Solent University and volunteers as a career mentor and Duke of Edinburgh Leader / Assessor. 

He offers the Board commercial acumen, experience of technology-led innovation, and a focus on strengthening industry partnerships, employability and responsible technology adoption across the University.
