Helen Owers

Helen lives in Cornwall and has served on Falmouth University’s Board since 2019 as an Independent Member. She has extensive senior executive experience in the media and creative industries. She was President of Global Businesses and Chief Development Officer at Thomson Reuters where she globalised the business and built positions in China, Japan, India, Brazil and UAE. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Helen worked as a media and telecoms strategy consultant at Gemini Consulting and led the European educational and professional publishing at Prentice Hall/Pearson. She has extensive experience in non-executive roles, recently as Chair of Eden Project International, as well as FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 businesses. She holds an MBA from IMD Business School and a BA in Geography from the University of Liverpool.
