Hannah Linford
Associate Lecturer, Interior Architecture BA(Hons) & Interior Design BA(Hons)
With over 20 years of experience in the design industry, I transitioned into academia in 2023 and have had the pleasure of
mixing professional practice with teaching in the further education sector. My ongoing involvement in professional practice enables me to integrate real-world industry experience with comprehensive academic resources, supporting students in developing their design methodology, creative thinking, technical skills, and visual communication. My aim is to prepare students for successful employment and alignment with industry standards—making a meaningful impact on their academic and professional journeys.
As a highly creative designer with a multidisciplinary background, I thrive on generating innovative ideas and transforming
them into engaging, functional environments. I am deeply fascinated by the influence of space on human emotion and
behaviour, and I apply a meticulous attention to detail in every project. This thoughtful approach forms the foundation of
my work, resulting in interior design solutions that are both practical and imaginative.
