Voice and Accent Hub
Friendly and engaging voice and accent sessions held monthly at the Hall for Cornwall. These community centred skills-based learning sessions are designed to help develop vocal confidence, strengthen technique and refine authentic accent skills. Through guided practice and focused accent work, participants gain practical tools to continue improving at home while exploring their voice in a supportive, challenging and enjoyable environment.

Project lead - Gemma Wright
Gemma has extensive experience as a voice coach for theatre, contributing to major productions including A Child of Science at the Bristol Old Vic and the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Henry VI – The Rebellion at Stratford. Her theatre work also encompasses voice and accent coaching for companies such as Miracle Theatre, Marvellous Machine Company, The Wheel, and Boom Theatre. Gemma founded and runs the Voice and Accent Hub at the Hall for Cornwall, where she additionally supports a range of productions. Beyond the arts, she applies her expertise to professional communication, working with organisations and business leaders, including Seasalt, to develop voice and presentation skills.

The Hub’s influence extends across the South West and beyond. Teachers and performance practitioners who attend the sessions integrate my techniques into their own teaching, while professional actors share the practices they develop at the Hub within their industry networks and through leading their own acting workshops.
