How can we harness the joy and excitement of genre-based stories to make theatre about climate change? Making theatre that engages with the climate crisis can seem both daunting and heavy.
This practical session will explore Wise Ram Theatre's approach 'all stories are climate stories' and how we use genre as the starting point for creating new climate plays. It will provide space to explore and play with ideas and give you helpful tools you can take with you in your practice.
About Wise Ram Theatre:
Wise Ram Theatre is a new neurodiverse theatre company. Our first production, Decommissioned, “heart-warming, comical, and intimate” (Amy Tickner, London Pub Theatres) premiered at the Pleasance Theatre. We run monthly workshops on Staging the Climate Crisis at the Glitch, as part of VAULT Creative Arts.
We make theatre about the climate crisis that explores what it means to be alive now
