Spend two-days with Grace Murdoch exploring, moving and creating an original piece of work. Starting the day with a technique class and then exploring creative tasks, set choreography and improvisation. Over the two days the dancers will collaborate with one another led by Grace, ending in an informal sharing at the end of the second day.
This unique opportunity is a great chance to experience a different way of making a piece of work, developing technical and collaborative skills in the wonderful AMATA studios at Falmouth University’s Penryn Campus. Open to new and current dance students. For existing students this is a chance to dig into all the brilliant skills they have been developing over the year and have a fabulous two days with their peers. Whilst for new students or those on our waiting lists, it is a great introduction to what we do and how we do it, in a relaxed and fun package.
The days embody the work we do throughout the year in our range of dance classes, culminating in creating something unique to that group at that specific point. All dancers also receive a t-shirt bespoke to that years intensives.
As a professional choreographer and dancer Grace’s previous work includes working with sites such as Eden Project, Gardens of Natural Beauty, theatres and docklands to name a few. Collaborating with organisations such as Falmouth University, ICON, The Minack, as well as working with AMATA and Falmouth University for over 10 years to offer our creative and educational dance classes for young people.
