Our Applicant Days are designed to ensure you have all the information you need and all of your questions are answered.
Joining us on our campuses in Cornwall, you'll get a real feel for the Falmouth student experience. You'll take a deep dive into your chosen subject area, meet current and other future students and explore our amazing facilities.
Applicant Day interviews
We're running interviews at all of our Applicant Days, but you will need to book both separately. Find out more about scheduling your interview for an Applicant Day date, below.

All Applicant Days are on campus, and will run from 10:00 to 17:00.
What to expect on the day
Morning sessions
10:00 - 13:30
Join us for a series of talks and Q&As, where we'll be covering topics ranging from accommodation and Student Finance to creative careers and student life. You do not need to book a spot at these sessions, just drop in to the ones that interest you most on the day!
There will also be on-demand campus tours, accommodation tours (at Penryn campus only) and the opportunity to meet current and future Falmouth students.

12:00 - 12:30 | Employability | Discover the support and opportunities available through our Employability service. |
12:45 - 13:15 | Integrated Foundation Year Talk (Penryn Campus) | Introduction to our Integrated Foundation Year for creative subjects. |
At 13:15, applicants will be guided to their subject area workshop or interview while parents and carers take a break before joining a dedicated Parents & Carers Advice & Information session.
Afternoon sessions

Parent & Carers Advice & Information session
14:00 - 15:30
We'll be running a session in the afternoon just for parents, carers and guardians. In this session, you'll get all the information you'll need to help your young person prepare for university. You'll learn about the next steps in the applicant journey, Student Finance and funding, student support and our Step into Falmouth programme.
After this session, you'll have the opportunity to take a campus tour or just relax with a drink and snack in our cafes while your young person is in their subject area workshop.
Subject area workshops & tours
Join the subject area session of your choice, meet the course team, use our industry standard facilities and get to know the students who you could soon be studying with. You will need to book a place at these sessions in advance.

Applicant Day Interviews
Have you been invited to an interview? We'll be holding in-person interviews at all of our Applicant Days.
How to book
If you want to have your interview in person at an Applicant Day, just follow these steps:
- Go to the Applicant Portal
- For intervew type, select 'In-person interview'
- When you recieve your allocated interview date, you can book the Applicant Day for the same date
- If you want to change your interview date to match your chosen Applicant Day, you can do this in the Applicant Portal
Interview already booked for an Applicant Day date?
If you already have your interview booked on an Applicant Day date and would like to stay for all of the activities, you will still need to book your Applicant Day separately.
On the spot interviews
If you come along to the Applicant Day and decide on the day that you’d like an interview, please head to the interview desk and we will do our best to fit you in.
FAQs
You can only attend one subject session per day, but you can book more than one date if you want to attend more than one session.
We have six Applicant Days between February and April. We'll try and book your interviews on the same day for you where possible.
Yes. If your course requires an interview, you can do this on the same day. However, you will need to book in advance to reserve an interview slot.
No. We have talks and information stands running all day and you'll join other applicants and interviewees in your subject sessions. You'll have your interview/audition in between the other activities.
We can’t guarantee that there will be an interview slot available, but if there is then we'll try to fit you in.
Just head to the interview registration desk on the day to check. Make sure you check our interview information first to see if there's anything you should bring or prepare.
Yes. You’re welcome to bring a maximum of two guests with you to an Applicant Day.
We'll be running Parents & Carers sessions in the afternoon, which your guests can attend while you are in your subject session or interview.
There are also cafés on both Penryn and Falmouth campuses if you or your guests need to take some time out or need a refreshment.
Yes. We'll be running portfolio review sessions with our students as well as interview tips and advice.
If you’re not yet ready for your interview, you can still bring your portfolio along and get some advice and helpful tips.
We appreciate application events such as Open Days, Applicant Days and interviews may appear daunting, but we encourage everyone to come along and take the opportunity to get to know the University a little better.
We have a quiet space available where you can get away from the main event, and if you let us know any special requirements or adjustments in advance, we'll ensure these are taken into account.

No. Absolutely not!
While we’d love to welcome you on campus, your attendance at our Applicant Days has no bearing on your chances of getting an offer. Instead, we’ve designed these days to help you decide what and where to study.
